Compounded Medications

Compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide are NOT FDA-approved medications. They are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies pursuant to individual prescriptions from licensed healthcare providers. The FDA-approved versions of these medications are Ozempic/Wegovy (semaglutide) and Mounjaro/Zepbound (tirzepatide), manufactured by Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly respectively.

Compounded medications have not undergone the same FDA review as commercially manufactured medications. The efficacy and safety of compounded preparations may differ from FDA-approved versions.

Prescription Medications
